Our Vision for Tacoma
We’ve found a place to call home! Located in the historic Stadium District on the green of Wright Park in Tacoma, this former American Legion meeting hall offers easy access. The building looks out onto the Wright Park garden arboretum, offering an ideal gathering space for our whole community to meet in the heart of Pierce County. This space will serve our church family in many ways. Shifting out of setting up and tearing down every week and into a permanent building increases our capacity to invest more deeply in our relationships, spiritual formation and service to the community. The new space will further our efforts for the emotional, relational and spiritual development of our kids and youth.
This multifaceted facility will also act as a hub for supporting local foster care communities, leveraging its additional space and strategic location in Pierce County. Furthermore, given the city's rich artistic history, the building's unique beauty will be harnessed to shape the cultural landscape. Envisaged as a haven for rest and renewal, we see it hosting concerts, art events, and cultural attractions, including a third-wave coffee shop and a performing arts venue open to everyone.
We have felt God's hand on this property. We invite you to be part of this legacy moment by contributing generously to Garden City Church's building fund. Various Masonry Repair and demolition of pillars - $50,000
Parking lot repair, clean up and tree removal- $20,000
ADA (We have already applied for these permits and are waiting for The City of Tacoma’s approval)

Remodel existing upstairs bathroom to meet ADA requirements - $25,000

Continue to develop Garden City Kid’s. New windows, sound proofing and resource our youth area. $25,000
